Mostly anyone who watches football knows, begrudgingly or not, that Aaron Rodgers is one of the best NFL players of his generation. The talented yet controversial quarterback is a four-time NFL league MVP as well as a Super Bowl winner with the Green Bay Packers. But things haven’t gone so well for him in the past couple of years. And building on that, it doesn’t help that he’s said some of the dumbest things a human has ever spoken.

So today we’ll look at some of the most idiotic statements that he’s made in public. Rodgers has become a parody of himself recently with questionable at best perspectives on many prominent subjects. Meanwhile, he’s often had a mixed relationship with teammates and has even held franchises to ransom. Check out the dumbest things that have ever come out of Rodgers’ mouth here.

These days most people agree that it’s important to protect football players from themselves. We understand the long-term risks of concussions and intense collisions. But Rodgers doesn’t agree and thinks people who think this way are ‘snowflakes’. Rodgers said: “If looking at the big picture, the softening of society has caused things like this. Look at all the sports. Hockey doesn’t have the enforcer position. People want to see football as a collision sport but not to the point where guys are getting mangled on the field.”

Ayahuasca

Recently it’s become well-known that Rodgers loves ayahuasca. He notoriously goes on ayahuasca retreats when he wants to make bigger decisions. The quarterback said that it changed his life and the way he thinks about things. Some people think it’s eccentric while others think it’s one of the dumbest things ever.

Nonetheless, Rodgers stands by his ayahuasca experiences. “I found a deeper self-love,” Rodgers said (via AP News). “It unlocked that whole world of what I’m really here to do is to connect, to connect with those guys, and to make those bonds and to inspire people.”

Woke Mob

When reporters asked Rodgers if he had undergone COVID vaccination, he said: “Yeah I’ve been immunized.” This was a subtle lie because he had so-called holistic treatments but didn’t get the vaccine. He broke the NFL’s rules and reacted defensively when the media discovered the truth.

Rodgers went on a crazy rant and said some of the dumbest things ever. He went full Alex Jones as he said: “I realize I’m in the crosshairs of the woke mob right now, so before my final nail gets put in my cancel culture casket, I’d like to set the record straight on so many of the blatant lies that are out there about myself right now (via The Ringer).”

Not The End

It’s safe to say that most Green Bay fans have mixed feelings about Rodgers now. On the one hand, he’s arguably their most talented quarterback ever and he brought them a Super Bowl. But the other side is that he held the franchise to ransom and burnt them when he didn’t want to be there any longer.

Rodgers wrote on Instagram (via USA Today Sports): “This is not the end for us, I will see you again Green Bay, you’ll always have my heart.” We’re not sure if they want to see him again because he left with a cloud over his head. Joe Rogan is a brilliant podcaster but nobody will pretend he’s a medical expert. The longtime UFC commentator attracted criticism because he advocated using ivermectin as a protection against COVID. Pat McAfee’s sole existence appears to be Rodgers’ agony aunt. Every time the quarterback wants to whine about something he turns to his favorite show. It seems that Rodgers has a problem with the political establishment and democracy. RELAX

Some people think that Rodgers has always had an arrogance about him. That comes with the territory of being an elite athlete but it doesn’t always come off well. But they blew a 16-0 lead in the NFC Championship game and ended up not fulfilling their promise under Rodgers’ watch yet again, something they did quite often throughout his tenure.

Green Bay’s quarterback enraged the masses again in 2022 when he began deviating from the system. He ignored Matt LaFleur’s playbook at times and did what he wanted.
